Mission
The Great Commission: “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20
The Foundation Church is a non-denominational faith family who love God and seek to love those inside the Church, as much as those outside the Church. We encourage honesty and holy curiosity as we live and learn together in community, always welcoming those who don’t yet belong.
We celebrate that God loves each one of us regardless of who we are. It is clear to us from Scripture that God desires for us to live fruitful lives (Galatians 5:22-23), only accomplished by accepting His free gift of grace and by knowing Him personally as our Lord and Savior.
Go: Our Father sent His son to rescue a broken world. It is our belief, as disciples of Jesus, that we are to reach out to those who do not know Him. Only by first accepting the call to first come and follow Jesus, can we then go to show others The Way. “‘Come follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.'” Matt 4:19
Make: Making the decision to become a disciple of Jesus requires humility, repentance, and faith. Our goal, as a family in Christ, is to encourage daily interaction with God through His Word, prayer, and the proper use of our Spiritual gifts. Our relationship with Him is of paramount importance at all points in our Spiritual maturity. “You are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed–indeed, only one.” Luke 10:41b-42a
Baptize: We love to celebrate all those who commit their lives to Christ! Submitting to the water of baptism is a powerful symbol of our new identity as a child of God. It is clear from Scripture, baptism is a work of the Holy Spirit, and the water is a visual representation of the cleansing work of redemption done by God alone through His mercy and grace towards us. “I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” Mark 1:8
Teach: We are committed to learning and teaching directly from the Word of God. The Bible guides us to a clearer understanding of God’s love, encourages, corrects, and reminds us that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. It is our belief that God places us into communities of believers so we may strengthen, encourage and equip each other in our life of faith. “Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.” Acts 5:42
God: God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal and are one God.

People: People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

Salvation: Salvation is a free gift from God to us. We can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith.

Bible: The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.
